I am on the old rewards plan. I referred about 5 people within the last 30 days or so, and every time i did get the cha-ching SMS giving me the $1/ month credit. which was applied to my renewal a few days ago.
But what I don't see is the $5 for 5 months bill credit that has been going on (the main reason for my push to get these people onboard. how do I get this credit applied?
It's likely the campaign hasn't begun to apply to accounts.
It'll likely display on your next renewal.

Send a private message to the Customer Support Agent by clicking here You’ll need to be logged into your Community account for the link to work.
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.
