Changed my Credit to Debit with Auto Payment

Hi,

Months ago (around start of october? Or before october) I changed my auto payment transaction from credit to debit since I've just noticed I'm getting double charges way back from 2023 in my credit. I thought that would fix it now it started not only taking money out of my debit but also my credit up until now. I just stopped the auto payment all together. I don't know what to do.
