So i received a text from my old Sim card company requesting number transfer so i texted back Yes. few moments later my sim card in the phone was no longer activated. Is this the normal process for the number transfer? do i just have to wait now, with my Public Mobile sim card in phone for it to finish ?

@Hachey

If it hasn't started working now it won't by tomorrow morning magically all on its own. It's your choice to wait to contact customer support if you don't mind not having service on your phone.

Yes, it means your old one already handed the number over to PM.  Could be a slight delay still, but couple reboots should be all you need.

Welcome to PM

@Hachey

Once your old SIM card stops working that indicates your port is complete. Put the pm SIM card in your phone and reboot. Welcome to public mobile!

@Hachey you should be able to put the Public Mobile SIM card into the phone now and everything will be working with the ported phone number.

@Hachey   Yes, it is normal, and a good sign!!

Put PM SIM in a phone , make a call to your mobile number from another line to see if your phone with the  PM SIM rings, if so. DONE!!

If not, no worry, wait another 30 mins , reboot your phone and try again.

Usually, the porting will complete within 2 hours at this stage
