I was recently unexpectedly deployed and won't be back for 7 months. Now that I'm out of the country my Public Mobile SIM can't connect and I can't accept the porting request to transfer my number to a parking service. Is there another way to authorise this request so that I can keep my number? I don't want to pay full price for my service while I'm out of the country for at minimum 7 months, up to a year.

HI @WORobinson
generally, we suggest people to ask a friend to buy a sim card in Canada and link the sim card to the account, then the friend can help to receive the text to approve porting
and easier way is to change to the cheapest plan you see on your PM's account, then make a payment every 120 days as PM allows account to be suspended for 90 days. If you are going with this trick, disable Auto, let the account expires and not renew at the end of this cycle. Then come back on the 85th or 86th days and make a payment to renew for 30 days. Then the account will expire and not renew after that cycle, and you repeat this suspend for 85 days - pay for 30 days trick until you are back

It may be difficult to port out while out of country. Customer service agent may be able to help.
Might want to consider turning off pre-authorized payments and let your account go to suspended state. Before 90 days, pay for another month and then again turn off pre authorized payments. As long as you activate every 90 days, you will be able to keep your number. If you account is suspended more than 90 days, then your number is lost and account is closed permanently.
