Not receiving texts in time

Hi

This has been happening recently, I receive calls just fine however , I do not receive texts on time. I have full signal strength most of the time and calls are no problem. However, texts reach me fairly later , especially group texts. Sometimes mine are also not delivered.

 Would appreciate help.

Thanks

Are you texts Blue (iMessage) or Green (SMS) in color?

If Blue (iMessage) you need to be in WIFI areas or have Data enabled on your device to use: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207006

if you have a second phone around, try it for a day or two and see.

Also, group text could be an issue from the source side or from PM side..  harder to troubleshoot

@foxonefoxone

Likely an issue with RCS (for android) or iMessage (for apple).  If your data working properly? Is your data turned on all the time?  Need either wifi or working data for these messages to be sent on time.

Wow, that's an awful lot of work to do just to get the text function to work.

Try rebooting your phone.  Also clear your cache.

Were there any updates or changes to the phones around the time the problem was first noticed?

What messaging app are you using on the phone?
