I activated a new SIM with Public and requested a number port from another carrier. I confirmed the port with the other carrier, but still am not receiving texts via Public. It has been 24 hours since I started this process, well beyond the 5 business hours stated in the documentation.

So I had to submit a ticket and the agent refreshed my network and asked me to restart my phone. After doing this, SMS was working. I don't think there was any way to enable this without contacting tech support, for anyone else having this issue.

can you confirm if you receive inbound calls, especially calls from carriers other than Telus or Koodo?
if you are not getting inbound calls, the port was not done

sms or iMessage that you are not getting? sometimes it is iPhone problem after number ported
