Hi everyone,
The account is over a month old and has never been able to receive internation texts. It is a brand new phone number that has only ever been with Public mobile. The account receives local texts without issue and has internet access
This international number has been able to text to one other PM number, so it isn't a problem with the sender. Any ideas of what to check? The phone appears to be configured correctly.

You can click the "?" in lower right side of the page to talk with moderator and receive assistance. Type 'contact moderator" then follow directions. The moderator may help you with your case and refresh your account to make it work properly.

I had a same issue 3 days ago.
Contacted the Moderator_Team. They were able to fix it on their end by refreshing my account.
Then I was told to power off my phone and boot it up.
It worked.

Both countries have the same country code. In most cases, you don't even need to use the 1 or +1.

Short of you perhaps blocking this person's number or acciently archiving text messages from this person, this doesn't sound like a phone issue since you can receive text messages from other people.
When text messages go from one carrier to another, there is a intermediary that gets involved to route the message. That's likely where the issue lies. All I can suggest is for you to open a ticket with Public Mobile by going to https://publicmobile.ca.ada.support/chat/ . Your contact may also wish to contact the carrier at that end of the conversation.

Canada and the US are in the same calling zone of the country code - 1. Therefore 011 or + would not be needed.
It's the same as us calling to the states. Heck even Canada. Just 1 - area code - prefix - 4 digits.

Have them try sending text to 011 1 (your area code), then your number. See if that works.

What country is trying to text you?
Are you able to send texts to that number? Do they receive them?
