Not able to receive text messages from Rogers customers

Hello,

 

I have been having trouble receiving messages from Rogers customers today. Seems like they are able to receive my texts but I don't get any replies despite the fact that it shows on their end that the message has been delivered - WEIRD! I have no trouble receiving messages from other people with different carriers. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

@dlkirchin I really don't think it is a phone issue. I have a Google pixel 2 XL and am having this issue as well. I didn't have this issue with receiving texts from bell carriers but not sure if it's happening right now. That is really frustrating. I really hope they do something about this soon.

I am having this issue as well. It started with just Rogers, but has now become an issue with other carriers such as Bell. 

I spoke with the moderators about this, but they said it was likely an issue with my physical phone (Samsung Galaxy A70). But, the phone is brand new and fully updated. 

This is really frustrating, I have missed many texts and there seems to be no solution.

@chillpills  I don't know FOR A FACT, but I suspect so. My wife has had issues in the past, with disappearing texts, that are NEVER received by the intended target, and that's under normal circumstances..... 🤔

@Ericsparrow56 I have not had any issues so far until today. Hoping that it will be resolved soon..fingers crossed!

Aaaaand, to add to my previous post, I JUST received my wife's 1st text, that she sent me 16mins. ago, whereas her 2nd text was right away..... obviously, there's some issues in the system.

I'm having the same issues with Roger's and eastlink. I've restarted the phone 3 times. Taken the sim card out and did it again...still not working. It comes and goes. Alot over the past 3 weeks though

@chillpills That is the same for me. Slowly I have been receiving them but not how fast, they were sent. From their end it doesnt look like anything is wrong witch is strange. Public needs to help out with this issue because I message a lot of people with rogers phones.

@BigDave332 same, I just received a text from someone who has Rogers who sent the message at 10am today but not all the texts have come through. That person showed their phone to me and it seemed like from their end it said that all the messages were delivered... Really weird!

Ok, since I JUST read this thread, I got my wife, using Chatr, on the Rogers network, to send me a text, and it didn't arrive. I then sent her one, which she got, and she replied, and I received the reply, but I still haven't received her 1st text..... probably system overload.....

It’s most likely just a server problem that will be resolved by the carriers. Hang in there!

That is really disappointing. I know it was working yestrday too. The weird thing is is I have received the messages however around 5 or 6 hours have passed the original sending time before I received it.

@BigDave332 Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the issue resolved. Tried contacting the moderator with no luck :catsad: I am not sure if it's something temporary which will resolve shortly but I know for a fact that it was working fine yesterday!

I am wondering if you have resolved this issue due to the fact where I have had the same problem today. Any other carrier is fine however I cant receive messages from Rogers.

Hi @chillpills 

If messages are not there they never made it to public mobile.

Most likely Rogers issue

Your friends should contact their tech support

@kselmak  Thanks for the prompt response. I don't see the messages on my history. I see the outgoing messages but none of the incoming ones. I did try to restart my phone when I realized there was an issue with no avail. I will try contacting the moderator. Thank you!

@chillpills  I agree with @gblackma that this is likely a rogers issue but you can try turning airplane mode on. Wait 5 min. Turn airplane mode off and see if this clears the issue.

@chillpills since you can receive all the other carrier's messages. Then the problem is on Roger' s end.
