Not able to receive calls or texts

I've read several posts on why this is happening, so I'm hoping a moderator can help me out too? I understand it's a porting issue, I switched from freedom mobile yesterday and ported my number with the switch. Everything works perfectly except I cannot receive texts or calls. I also switched my wife's phone at the same time and we are both experiencing the same issue. We are disconnected from the world by this, nobody is able to contact us outside of iMessage or email.

Actually @Mary_M is online at the moment.  Anyway all private messages go to a central repository.  So any moderator can see them and take action.

Ok that's good to know, I did throw my old sim back in the phone and it still works flawlessly, so definite issue with porting. Thanks for your input, I will pm the moderator you tagged

It's definitely a failed port.  Porting from Wind/Freedom takes 30 minutes if nothing goes wrong.  A moderator will be able to take care of the problem very quickly.  I will tag a moderator in this thread.  @Shazia_K, your help is needed.

 

OP, since your port failed, the old accounts remain active.  So you can continue using the old service in the mean time.  Actually, that is a good way to tell when the porting is completed when the old service is disconnected.

Yes it does sound like port that got stuck.
One of the mods. As @pulp74 said you can contact a mod by private message once they start today they might be able to help you. I think they start today at 9 am EST
