Not able to place or receive calls

Hello,

 

I set up a new public mobile sim card. I am able to send and receive text messages. However, I am not able to make or receive any phone calls. I tried rebooting the phone and also tried the sim card in another phone, but the situation is still the same. Please help as this is my primary line.

@shivrp did you confirm your phone is compatible with Public Mobile via a manual spec check and/or using https://www.willmyphonework.net?  If you only used the IMEI checker on Public Mobile's site, it may have lead you astray.  I'm not sure where you got your phone but many models sold in and intended for overseas markets are not compatible.

Incoming and outgoing text working but no calling might mean talk was not added in your plan.  Can you post a screen shot of your overview page or copy and paste plan details.

Did you set up a new phone number with PM?  Or did you port over your old number?  What plan did you sign up for?

 

If you set up a new number, and it's not making calls in multiple phones, you should contact the Moderator Team.

 

If you ported your number over, it can take 3-6 hours for the port to complete.  If it still doesn't work by the 6 hour mark, then you likely have an incomplete port and also need to contact the Moderator Team.
