No signal after porting number

Ported to public mobile yesterday. Still no signal. Can’t create account to check status as I’m unable to receive sms. Not sure if I have a faulty sim or something went wrong with the porting process. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I would guess a faulty sim as I had reception even before my number was fully ported over. I could browse the internet and use my apps. Just couldn't receive calls or texts until it fully ported over.

@slok, you can check in your messages, you should see the ones that you have sent.  If it shows up there, then they should have received it.

I'm guessing a stuck port.

 

Send the mods a private message by clicking here and providing your email address, phone number and what's happening (basically what you wrote above).

 

In the meantime and assuming you are coming from another provider are you able to use your previous provider's SIM still? If so, keep using it and once that stops working it'll mean your port has been fixed and completed.

You can try the following steps:

 

-Go into your phone's settings and under Cellular Settings, manually choose Public Mobile as your Network operator


-Reboot your phone


-Power off your phone and remove your SIM.  Re-insert and power on
