@silja

You have two separate issues...

Incoming calling....sounds like a failed port. Did you reply YES to the PAT (porting authorization text)on your old sim card? If not check your account with your previous provider. Is it cancelled?;If not but your service is not active you will have to reactivate (unless its koodo or telus) in order to port in your phone #.

Data not working....if your data counter is still showing on your overview page (unused?) then its likely an APN issue. If you have an iPhone you need to check for updates and then connect to iTunes to update your carrier profile. If you have an Android phone please tell us the make and model and what version of OS you currently have on the phone if you cannot edit your APN.

@silja - you activated the $15 plan on May 12th.

Did you activate with a new number or port one over?

As for your 250mb it is possible you have used all that up at this point. Was data working at all after activation?

As for your incoming calls, that should work nearly right away after an activation with a new number.

If you porting over a number from another provder...:

  • Cell ports can take 2-3 hours. Use the previous provider's SIM card to receive the porting transfer text for approval to port to port over to Public Mobile and to receive calls from until port is complete.
  • Landline/voip ports can take 3+ days. Expect a mix of services on the landline and Public Mobile SIM card until port is complete.

When the incoming calls stop on the previous provider’s SIM card and/or landline/voip account, that is a good indication the port is complete.

For incoming calls, try:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a few minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode, then going back to regular mode

*perform a reset network settings on your device

*try your SIM card into another compatible phone for a few days to see if the issues are the same...this could rule out a device issue/setting.

*manually select the 3G / WCDMA ONLY network in your Mobile Connections area in your settings (temporarily) for dropping or unable to make incoming/outgoing calls

If issues persist and other suggestions are not helping, submit a ticket to CSA for assistance for your incoming call issue.

To contact the Public Mobile Customer Support Agent (CSA)_Team, there are two methods to reach them found here:

@silja

Was your phone working after you activated on May 12?

Login to your account and check if your account is Active.

In My Data & Add-ons, if it doesn’t show the 250mb of data then you used up all you data. Also in View My Usage, it will show when and amount of data was used in May.

@silja Hi it sounds like a port gone awry can you confirm if you were trying to port your number from another carrier?

@silja

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

More details would be hslpful.  What about texts and incoming texts?  Did you port over your number when you activated your account? Which model phone?
