No service

I have been trying for hours to navigate this help service. I subscribed to a new service yesterday with an ESIM and thought I had ported my old number to my new provider. Now, my phone is useless. I cannot make a call, receive a call or text. I did the same procedure with my wife’s phone and it works fine.

@wbos , thank you for updating us. I’m happy it was an easy fix & now working. 🙂

@wbos , when you requested to port your phone number over to Public Mobile did you leave your previous providers SIM Card in your iPhone to approve the port request from them by replying YES within 90 minutes of receiving the text message from them?

In this type of situation, the above wouldn't be the issue, at at the very least there are other issues that need to be fixed first.   The customer's outgoing call service isn't related to number porting.

@computergeek541 , thank you! I wasn’t sure.

I don’t know how to check my sim manager on my iPhone12 but I don’t think the eSIM is there.

@wbos , it is where I said on an iPhone in your Settings under Cellular

@wbos , try my suggestions & let me know if it works. This is what I did on my iPhone 14 Pro for eSIM with the newest iOS software update 16.6

@wbos , I don’t know which phone you have so the settings could be in different places but try these please & see if it helps:

  1. In cellular settings make sure that “ Turn On This Line “ (for iPhone ) is selected. (I am not positive where the setting is on a different phone to turn it on, possibly ‘Turn on your eSIM under Mobile Network’)
  2. Reset Network Settings & reboot your phone.

Edit: I may have misunderstood, are you a Public Mobile Customer or you are a Customer else where now that you ported your phone number to?

And maybe just a simple power off restart.

hi @wbos

check your sim manager and see if the eSIM is there, is it set to active?

then try "Reset All networks" and it should work
