No service in Cowichan Valley for the last couple of days

an6erboda
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

As the topic says, I havent had much of any coverage in the Cowichan Valley since Sunday. I don't know what happened but I used to always have at least 1 to 2 bars and now I constantly have no service. Even when in Crofton at most I have 1 bar but its cut out a few times. I used to always have 3 or more there. Thanks

I pass through them but never stop to experience service. Now in Cowichan where are we talking out at the lake or just in the municipalities around there

I agree, it's quite the area with a wide variety of terrain...

Not the most up-to-date information, but I had full bars when we stopped at Somenos Marsh a couple of weeks ago.

We're really sorry to hear that you have had spotty service, and I would be more than happy to help. As you may know, we're currently covered on the exact same network as Telus.

https://www.telus.com/en/bc/mobility/network/coverage-map

If you look at the coverage map of Telus, when I search for "Cowichan Valley" it actually shows there is no service at that location, just service nearby. So I could see some spotty service possibilities.  Were there some new buildings built blocking the line of sight?

Although in Crofton the service should be perfect. Sounds like you may have a problem with your phone hardware. Have you tried your SIM in another device to compare behavior? If not, I suggest that you try this, as well as a different SIM in the phone. Maybe your cell phone is having trouble if it WAS working fine and now has an issue since the towers didn't move.

@RobertQc, friendly suggest with the use of first person in your posts.  You come across as a Public Mobile employee.  As a customer, I would not use the word we and Telus in the same sentence.

@will13amI copied from a moderators post, should i use the " " quotes?

When you use quotes, people may not know who you are quoting.  It would look odd to add quoting the moderator team in statements.  Why not simply using I in place of we.  You are speaking for yourself only.  The last thing you want to do is get in trouble for potentially misrepresenting the Public Moble.

@an6erboda, this is the Telus outage map.  I don't see anything affecting Cowichan at the moment.  I would be suspicious of the phone more than the network.  If possible, try using a different phone in the affected area.
