I have a No Service message on my phone. I have tried many things to reconnect with no luck. Public Mobile is checked under Network Selection but not connecting.

@MWBW  So hubby SIM works in your phone ,now try you SIM in his phone to rule out if it’s your SIM or your phone

Is this a 'new to you phone' ? Did you check if your phone is blacklisted here: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/ as already suggested above?

My husband has service but for some reason I don't.

Perfect if so.  Swap the 2 sim cards between the 2 phones and see if that works. 

 

If your sim on your husband phone still does not work, and your husband sim on your phone works, that confirms it's your sim or account and not the device, then the next step would be to open ticket with PM support

Maybe have a look at devicecheck.ca just to rule that out.

And yes try your sim in his phone and his sim in your phone.

 

@LoveNature- I'm also baffled how you divine that the customer is only having trouble with texting.

edit does you husbands SIM card work in your phone ?

Hi @LoveNature OP has trouble connecting, definitely will affect call and data services.

 

But can you help me to understand the technical details how  "go to message app and clear cache/ clear data" help connecting??

i think @MWBW  has call and data service, but has issue with Text SMS,

if you have device run android, go to message app and clear cache/ clear data/ reboot phone.

hi @MWBW try to set your network to 3G only. 

Try use another phone, it could be device problem 

Try the phone in another place, could be network problem

turn off device take out SIM card and insert back.

@MWBW did you check if your service is Active?  login to My Account using Incognito mode and check

 

if active, try to reboot the phone once

if still fails, try your. sim in another phone.  If you don't have one around, try to reseat the sim card
