I bought a new sim card, did everything it says online and I STILL have no service. this is getting ridiculous

its an iphone 12... i dont know what could be wrong with it but maybe its the phone

could my phone be broken? i tried the sim in another phone and it worked....

You didn't have service on your previous carrier's sim? Which carrier did you port in from? Was your account active at previous provider? If yes, you should've received a text message to authorize the port out request.

@MarleyG   Can you make an outgoing calls?

 

The phone status saying New Service?

 

Try it on another phone and see if you have the same message

 

But it sounds like a SIM provisioning issue.  Open ticket with PM Support and have them confirm if the sim was provisioned properly:

 

1. If you have access to My account: At https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.

Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗" 

2. If you don't have access to My Account or have trouble with Chatbot: Private message CS Agent at: 

      https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437


**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply you there

@MarleyG Where does it say online? Log into your self-sever account, and check the account status. 
Did you request to port in your number during activation? If yes, did you get a text to approve the port-in request?

only imessages through wifi. no text messages
