No Esim option available?

I have a Samung A34, which should be esim eligible, but I am only given the option to purchase a physical sim charge when I try to sign up for a plan. I entered the IEMI and a red error shows up.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help. Do you know how long it takes to get a response from an agent?

I've tried the live chat but it always says 'no agents are currently available'

It's quite the hassle just to sign up here. My first experience with Public Mobile.

did you originally start the activation on browser? I think if you started with browser, it will always default to physical sim.  A34 has esim and it will work

But yes, I agree with @Handy1  and @softech , physical sim is better, easier and no cost if you need to switch phone again.

yes, you can use eSIM anyway and then use QR code to install it on your A34.  But only do this if you are certain it will work

Usually physical sim might not be a bad idea, it is easier to switch phone or you don't have to rebuy eSIM if you ever need to wipe and resetup your phone

you can buy eSIM cheaper for $5 from Amazon

 

@Jordane  Stick with physical sim it will definitely n work . If you like to change devices each year then physical sim is best , no need to re buy one every time you want to try another device or trouble shoot by swapping sim out of phone . eSIM way over rated  and just seems to be to many issues in my opinion

I can do that but the Esim shows up with an error. It says it's not available. I can click the 'use Esim' anyway but I don't want to purchase a plan if I'm not sure it will work. I want it to be confirmed that it will work.

you can try login on a browser, once logged in , use this direct URL

https://subscribe.publicmobile.ca/en/ab/activation/sim-selection

(or change the province from ab to your own one )

this should allow you to change back to eSIM

Go back to step 1 using Back to change it to eSIM

@Jordane  Maybe try to uninstall the app and re install it see if they helps and gives you the eSIM option . But honestly if it where me I would avoid eSIM and stick with physical sim it’s far more superior then eSIM .but if your stuck on wanting eSIM and still no option you can use this link to support to help

Yes. I tried the app and the website. I am not given the option to use an Esim in step three of subscribing on the app. I am only given three different ways to purchase a physical sim. Frustrating.

A34 should have eSIM option

but did you use the app to subscribe?  you need to use the app

if using the app still not showing the esim option, please submit a ticket with CS Agent and confirm
