New phone only takes eSIM. Old phone has a physical SIM

Bought a new iPhone for the US and only has an eSIM. Old iPhone 12 has my physical SIM in it. Is there a way to transfer it over?

I stand corrected...my understanding was if you wanted to change existing account to esim, the new esim was gratis, so I 'm incorrect in my suggestion.

download the Public Mobile app to your cell and log in to your PM account. You can buy an esim but will end up being no cost to you.
