I'm in Vancouver but I don't like the numbers. I prefer 778 or 604 numbers. I found a couple 604 in Squamish. Do you think I'd be good or should I stick with activating a new number with Vancouver number options? Thank you

Without knowing where most of people calling the customer are calling from, there isn't any way to know which city for a phone number would be best to pick. I don't see anything special about Stewart, but the entire 778/604/236/672 parameter isn't much of an issue except for being preference. In most cases, customers are better off to choose a phone number based off on city and not based on area code. People generally don't memorize phone nubmers these days.

Squamish can call out to Aldergrove and over to Sechelt. But not the other way around. The closest is Port Mellon oddly enough. And not Britannia.
Look for Sechelt. When you call people and they show a geographic place then they'll see Sechelt. But at least it's a local call for them.
For the most of us with Canada-wide calling it really doesn't matter. The local calling is more for landlines and older kinds of cell plans.

that is fine get it.
I disagree with this assessment. Different cities/rate centres have different local calling areas for people to call the number.

I don't recommend this. While it make no difference for your outgoing calls, people who are calling you would be calling a Squamish number. This could potentially cause some of your callers to need to pay for long distance that otherwise may not have otherwise had to.
