Hello,
I lost my SIM card on a trip and now I would like to purchase a new one but have the same phone number. Is this possible? If so, how do I go about doing it?

after you have a New SIM card go To Change Your SIM Card online,

@dfrancoy make sure you purchase a SIM from local stores or from Amazon if you have Prime membership.
do you not order SIM from PM online, it might take 3 weeks for delivery

Yes you can keep the same number. Buy a new SIM card and then go into self service and choose Change Sim Card.
For now go into self service and put your account in lost/stolen mode so no one can use your lost SIM card.
