How is this a reward?
My bill is now almost $100 more per year as a result of this new change.
Could someone please explain to me how this is anything other than unchecked corporate greed?
Telus' profits increased 5.33% last year over 2022 for an annual revenue of $14.82 BILLION.
Service has been getting worse, have calls dropping and outright dead-zones all over downtown Toronto and was previously willing to put up with this as felt I was getting a reasonable deal. Sure don't feel like that anymore!
Never thought I'd ever want to switch but guess who is actively looking now.
Talk about leaving a bad taste in your loyal customers' mouths!!!

@JapanTrip , it's a tiny reward, but the low cost plans are great, and as of right now, no other third tier provider is offering 5G plans, with larger data buckets.
I'm happy with the reliable service, and since 2015, I've never had a plan cost me more than $40 for a 30 day period. This why I'm here.

How is it a reward? It's not.
Points system is universally bad all around for customers that used to have the old Rewards system. But it was *forced migration* and that was that.

If no one is happy why isn't Public Mobile listening to its customers?
Sure they can call it anything that they want but when they reduce what was once given don't think many customers are going to be fooled as these sure aren't the rewards we once had.
Thanks for your reply but really, do you honestly feel like this is a reward anymore?
These replies are proving my statement that this is simply outright corporate greed as no one has been able to dispute that yet.

Thanks for the sales pitch but why would I decrease my plan when it still does not give me the rewards I once had?
Again really not making me feel like a valued long term customer!

Well, nobody is happy but as long as any company can offer you 'reward' of even ONE CENT they can call it 'reward'.
As for reward you will get 10 points at anniversary and 5% off your bill every 30 days. Plus few points if you are active in Community. So it adds up and PM can call it 'reward'.

@JapanTrip , depending on which plan you have, there's opportunity to reduce the plan price and recapture some of the lost rewards. For example, the $25/1GB plan is now available at $19.

Thanks for your prompt reply Model Citizen.
I did get the notice but found it rather vague in trying to understand the value of the new "rewards".
However you didn't answer my question. How is this a reward when I'm not getting way less than what I did previously? How is this anything other than corporate greed? Personally feel like it's more a kick in the teeth!
Beyond disappointed and sad that this change is going to drive me to a new provider 😞

Everyone on the old loyalty rewards have been forced onto the new points system. See THIS link. You should have received an email or text from PM. If not, consider filing a compliant with CCTS as so many others have.
You will no longer get $2 auto pay, or up to $5 loyalty, or have your referral credits come off your bill automatically. Instead you will get 10 points per year for loyalty, (basically PM have changed the value of your loyalty from $60/yr to 10 points annually). You will get 5% cash back on any bill amount, but in points. And your referrals will be earned in points, too. If you want to reduce your bill, you must earn 15 points, then log in, and manually purchase $15 bill credit using your 15 points.
It also seems that any referrals you've earned this month won't count until after your next bill.
