I'm new in Canada and needed a phone number quick, so went with PM as they seemed cheap and cheerful, I went with a custom 90 day plan;
Province wide calls,
No text (regretting this now but it was an oversight on my part)
9GB at 4G LTE
$165 total for the 3 months
I didnt realise no text ment NO TEXTS, I thought for the occasional one text a week I might need to send I'd just have a few dollars credit and use away at it.
So I did a couple of add ons;
400 min Intl Long Distance (Incl Canada & US) |
US Roaming - Unlimited Text (10-day) |
calling abroad is weedy at best (some UK numbers go through, absolutely no Irish numbers)
and I have received a couple of texts but my texts that I send (within Canada) will absolutely not go through and I get a text from PM saying texts arent allowed on my plan......even though I paid for them to be......
I'm at a bt of a loss here, do I try figure this out or (as I'm still within the 14 days since purchase) do I cancel and try get a plan with texts?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

@Shuriken as @MacMe alluded to, the US Roaming Texting option ONLY works while you're physically in the USA--it does NOT add texting to an existing plan while you're in Canada. You must include the Global Texting option in your plan to get texting while you're in Canada. You should contact the moderator team via private message to ask them to help you with a plan change. It looks like you built your own plan:
90 days + Province wide + no texting + 9GB 4G LTE = $165
But if you chose the same options with international text it would actually be cheaper : $150.
Maybe you can try sending a private message to Moderator_Team and see if they can add texting to your plan.
