My signal strength is low.

I even bought a new phone to no avail. My husband, has the same issue.  I been on this plan for months and I am mostly using wifi. I checked the Volte setting and apn and they were correct. The map indicates I should have good coverage.  We don't want to leave but if no solution it does not make sense to stay. I have never had this issue with any other provider.

@LLAM-Y , based on the cell tower map, the Uxbridge area is actually not that well covered depending on your location.  Telus does not have towers in the town, so they would be sharing with Bell.  The coverage at the competition isn't really that much different.

I suggest installing this app and enabling location permission to check the geeky stats on the network connection including information like tower location and frequency data.

I suggest that you read which network you are connected to as displayed at the top corner of your phone i.e. 5G, LTE+, LTE or H+.  This is what I do on my pixel 7A. Your phone may be different. If you are connected to 5G, you are connected theoretically to the fastest network. On the other hand, if you are connected to H+ you are connected to the slowest.

Second step is to figure out your signal strength for the particular network at your particular location. Bars can be meaningless.  Go into the phone settings, "About Phone" and "SIM Status (slot 1)" and look at your signal strength "-xxx dBM". For 5G or LTE, a signal strength less than -115 dBm is pretty weak and your internet will probably be slow. If it is greater than -90 dBm, the signal is pretty strong and you should probably get some fast speeds. 

Third, do a speed test and see how it compares to the advertised speed for your particular plan. Remember that actual speeds are only "up to..." the advertised 100 mbps for LTE or 250 mbps for 5G.

If you believe you are in a weak signal area, drive yourself to a strong signal area, usually within a couple hundred meters of a tower and repeat the above steps to compare. You can use a tower locator app on your phone to find the locations of the biggest 5G Tower near you.

If your speeds are still slow by the tower, then there's something wrong with your phone, your phone settings or your connection to the network. Contact an agent and get them to help you through this. 

On the other hand, if your speeds by the tower is high compared to your home location, then it means that you live in a weak signal zone (like me). You can contact PM/Telus and try to lobby them to upgrade the network in your area.  However, do not get your hopes up unless you happen to be living in an area where there has been announced upgrading. 1. what phone you have?

2. you have problem with outbound calls? or inbounds? or data?  Please specify

first, do you have slow data or dropped calls?

if dropped calls, many experiencing the same and it is a Public Mobile issue.  We believe PM is looking into it, but so far no words from them
