Yes. To cancel your service, contact Public Mobile with the date you want the cancellation to be effective. Upon suspension or cancellation, Public Mobile will have no obligation to maintain any voicemail messages, contact information or other content related to your use of the Service and you agree that all such messages, information and content may be deleted immediately without notice to you.
Public Mobile doesn't set up cancellation dates. Accounts close automatically after 90 days of suspension.

they can – however I would much rather simply remove the subscription status from the account to ensure my card is no longer charged, than rely solely on the customer support agent to cancel it.
I’m pretty sure that’s all the customers support agents do anyway - is let the current cycle run out, which is the same as removing the subscription status to prevent further auto payments.
Besides, if they cancelled it immediately, one would be forfeiting the remainder of the cycle (which is no big deal if one loses their phone and SIM card) but otherwise, why not use the remaining service that’s already been paid for.

It would have been easier to just pop the old SIM from the old phone and put it in the new phone so you can keep your old number…too late now since you create a second account.

There is no process to cancel an unwanted account other than to stop paying for the service associated with it. Please log into your old account and disable automatic payments. After 90 days of suspenision, an acoucnt will close auomatically.
