if your account was ok. 5 days before plan suspension do the following: turn handset off, pull sim/battery, put all back again power cycle phone, search network manually using phone settings

If today was your plan's renewal date, service is sometimes suspended until the billing system accesses your account. Give it a few hours to catch up, if the preceding applies to you.
