I ACTIVATED MY SIM AND ACCOUNT YESTERDAT BUT TILL TODAY I CAN'T MAKE CALLS OR ANYTHING...IT'S SAYS IS NOT CONSCTED TO THE NETWORK.WHAT SHOULD I DO?THANK YOUM

Possibly a locked phone. Maybe you put the sim in wrong. Possibly the phone itself could be malfunctioning or broken.

The phone itself is pretty old (2010). Were you with Rogers? If so, the phone probably only supports 2G in Canada, which is scheduled for shutdown in 2020.

Get a new phone.

Then I guess that's your answer. If the phone came from elsewhere then it's possible to not work. But if it worked on another Canadian provider like Bell, Telus, Virgin etc and even Rogers then it should work for PM.

Well I probably didn't read it properly the first time I checked it..units new to me that phones don't work for Sims....never had this issue....so unfortunately I can't use it

Did you purchase the ready made $10 plan, or do a build your own 30 day plan without selecting voice, sms, or data?

 

If you did the latter, you didn’t purchase a plan.

 

What networks have you used your phone on?  Have Telus or Koodo been in the mix?  Bell or Virgin?

Galaxy 5 or S5?

Galaxy 5 (I5500) is not compatible with Public Mobile. Galaxy S5 does (On 3G only, except G900M/A/T/W8, these support 4G here. If bought in Canada then it's probably a G900W8). See here.

Sorry but I don't understand you;)selfserve?...I already answered the above questions.i will try networksearch...but I also never been asked a pin number...such is wierd

@Falcoara what phone are you using make and model.  

Did you try a network search?

Can you try the sim on a different phone? (Helps determine account vs hardware issue

When you loginto selfserve what does the overview page say?

Public mobile number...so it's a new number....Samsung galaxy 5 i think

It's unlocked...I used many diff Sims....I did it online...there is no store that I know.I paid 10$ and choose the plan...I out the SIM card inside and it doesn't work...pretty annoying.thank you

CALM DOWN FIRST!!111!1!!!

  • Did you port your number into PM, or you got a new number?
  • What is your phone model?
  • Did you buy it from another carrier? Is it unlocked?
  • Did you power off & on?

Then we can determine if you should contact the mods or not.

Did you activate online or at a store?

Had you login to check your account status?

 

Are you using a locked phone?

If yes, you need to get it unlocked by the provider who sold you the phone.
