My Dad's Account now saying he doesn't have US Roaming (????)

My 91 year old Dad is still in his house. Recently (might be today), when you try to call him the system sends the caller a message that says there is no US Roaming plan on his rate plan(??)  HOW do I get hold of somebody to fix this?

Yes, he can't call anyone. He DID get a new card but didn't update the info with Public. That is the source of the issue.   thanks

Okay...now we're getting somewhere. Says the account is suspended and to make a payment. He likely recently got a new credit card and didn't update the info with Public. Thanks so much for the suggestion...this is starting to make sense...except the part about 'ROAMING ADD ON NEEDED'....but I think we're on the right track now.  Thanks so much

No, he's in central Nova Scotia ... not close to the border at all...

That's a question I had for you. i had thought that message was just for fellow Public customers. So apparently others too. He needs to make a manual payment to re-up his plan. Maybe his card expired or something. Or maybe he recently dealt with a credit card problem and the bank refunded him some charges.

My sister-in-law borrowed MY Public Mobile phone. I called it to see if it was a widespread issue or something, but my Public Mobile is fine. Seems to just be my Dad's.   Not sure what might trigger such an odd message?

have him dial 611 to hear current plan status. Sounds like his plan might be Suspended.

s, when I call him from my Bell phone I get that message.

Everybody calling him gets the same message. I was just talking to him on a voip phone I set up for him to alert him to the problem. He can't call out now either.

Does your father live close to the US border?

That means either you or him have a suspended plan? Can you call others? If so then it's him. Call 1-855-4pu-blic from whatever working phone and enter his number and get the recording to find out.

when YOU call him you get that message ? Is your regular plan renewal today ? Did the renewal occur successfully ?

added...can you call other numbers w/o problem ?
