Moved my SIM cards to a new phone

  • I have just moved my two SIM cards into a new (for me) iPhone 14 Pro Max. I am in Asia, and my Public Mobile number is now not working to receive SMS messages. It worked fine in my previous iPhone 13 Pro with the same two SIM cards. I must be missing a setting or something, but can’t figure it out. Any suggestions?

You were probably recieving iMessage over wifi. You need to update your carrier settings on your new phone using iTunes but you won't be able to connect to Public Mobile until you come back to Canada so it probably won't help you recieve messages from Android users. ( I think since I don't use Apple products.)

Try putting one of your sim cards back in your old phone and check to see if you can still recieve them on that device.

@Duncan2021  Sorry PM only has roaming in the US not Asia , your best to get a pre paid  SIM card in Asia for your trip . You texting will work thru iMessage when’s there’s wifi regardless of PM or local pre paid SIM card from Asia
