All of the legacy customers are paying more unfortunately.
For existing customers, may want to consider these following plans:
$19/month for 1 GB LTE
$29/month for 10 GB LTE
$34/month for 50 GB Canada/US LTE
$40/month for 75 GB Canada/US LTE
Some of these plans may be cheaper than some of the grandfathered plans.
For example, it makes sense for any old $25 plan 1GB 3G to switch over to the $19 plan. Basically paying the same without the legacy rewards (ie. autopay and loyalty).

@Ria21 You might want to look at some of the newer plans as many who are moved to the points system seem to be still on older more expensive plans than are currently available, for example there's the $34 50GB 5G speed Canada-US plan, and the unadvertised $19 1GB 4G speed plan that is only available when you log in to your account.

you might have missed the reward system change announcement back in March
PM retired the old reward system this month (May) and everyone migrated on the new Public Points system.
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/move-to-public-points
With this new system, you pay the full amount first (with the Available Funds on your My Account or via your credit/debit card on the system), and hence you see a higher charge now.
Then PM will give you the points to your point account after renewal within 48 hours. Once you collected 15 points, you can redeem $15 bill payment yourself to bring the next payment down. Or you can also use points to buy add-ons with a discounted price
For how to earn points with Public Points,
I have to admit Public Points rewards is not as good as the Legacy rewards system, but you are still saving money, just in a slower pace
Here is more information about the rewards system migration:
