I am on my first month with Public Mobile and data doesn't work well when I am inside. It can be in any building, even if I am very close to a door that leads outside. I am on the 250 Mb plan (there is data left).
It always uses 3G, not LTE. I only manage to get 1 or 2 bars and when I try to do any web search, it says no internet connection, or says that it took too long and stops. Texts work sometimes, but takes time, or just fails. When I do a call, it works when I am very close to a door that leads outside, but I don't hear it ringing on the other end, and when it connects, it is choppy, if it works. If I go outside it works fairly well. I tried putting it in airplane mode a few seconds to reset it, no changes. I tried removing the case and it changes nothing.
It shouldn't be a problem with coverage. At home for instance, my gilfriend is also with Public Mobile (different plan) and has no problem getting LTE anywhere in the house (we are in the city, we have a small house, one single floor). I have also made the test in other buildings, and I am the only one that has any problem connecting.
I don't think it is a problem with the phone (an iPhone8). I was with Bell for 4 years with the same phone, up to last month, and I had no problem with it.
Any idea what the problem can be? Is there a known issue with the 250 Mb plan? Could it be the SIM card?

Only 3G was showing before, now with Chalupa_Batman's solution, it also shows LTE and it is selected.

No known issues with 250 Mb plan. Unlikely to be SIM card issue.
I would suggest trying your PM SIM card in your girlfriend's phone. This will help determine whether it is a hardware/phone problem or PM service issue.

Hello @Dojfeoj
Go into your Settings, Network Settings and reset them and then reboot. Give that a try.
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
