Message failed to send but still delivered

Hi, why do everytime I send my text, it tells me that message has failed to send but it is still delivered to the recipient? I have been struggling with this for a while now since I have been sending many duplicates messages to my friends and family. Thank you so much in advance!

Turn your phone off, remove the SIM card,

wait for a 2 minute and put it back and turn on.

Else try the SIM in a different phone to narrow down the faulty SIM or phone.

Along with @Anonymous @recommendation, check your setting if you have an iPhone.

Go to Settings>Messages>check if Send as SMS and MMS messaging are enabled.
