Just signed up for PM. I had to give a credit card to start the process for my sim card and it's now on file. Is there any way I can remove the card, and simply pay the bill through my bank, like any other utility service?

@Icolasnay too clarify what others have written, you cannot pay your PM phone bill through your bank as you would hydro etc.

Public Mobile does not accept PAD payments directly from a chequing/savings account set up from your bank's online account.

@Icolasnay Only support can remove the credit card on file , you could use pre paid visa instead or buy payment vouchers from shoppers drug mart /7-11 /shell gas station and load the funds *611 but you cannot use debit card unless it’s visa debit , but best to just use the credit card / Visa card so it will automatically renew the plan every 30 days and you don’t even have to think about it again . But if you want support to remove the card you need to message them

you can ask support to remove the card but you will have to use voucher to make payment every cycle then. And remember PM has 30 days cycle and not month
to ask support to remove credit card, submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:
