Have you tried logging in with your old e-mail address?
My understanding is that changing the e-mail address in the account is not automatically changing the e-mail address used as account name / log-in name. You need moderator assistance to change that manually.
Oh, and make sure that the e-mail addresses in the community and the self serve account match, so that community rewards, if earned, are applied to your account.
