Has anyone ever had an problem with using their phone as Hotspot and location not detecting ? When I want to play online casinos from my iPad it can't verify location I've downloaded geolocation apps and browsers on my iPad and my phone and enabling the settings to all location requests approved but I can't seem to get accurate location on my iPad when connected through Hotspot on my phone.
Any tips or suggestions I'm open to try.
My phone is a samsung galaxy s 22 ultra.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe that's a good thing.

Most app track your location via lookup to the external IP (in tis case, the IP provided by PM) ad your phone location
You can use service like whereismyIP online and see if it shows you the PM IP correctly and can locate your approximate location via IP
For your iPad, make sure the GPS location is enabled
Also, make sure your granted proper permission to your app

This is unrelated to the Public service.
How about using a VPN on the ipad?

Enabling “location” on an Apple device (and I think for Android too) does not mean you are enabling GPS. You are saying to use any means available to locate you. On a phone, that will often be GPS, true - but only iPads with cellular connectivity have GPS. Wifi-only iPads identify your location based on the WiFi ssid you are connecting to (there are databases of home/work wifi networks) and based on your IP address. In your case, using a hotspot, your hotspot WiFi won’t be in a WiFi database, so that won’t work, and your IP address will be the cell phone’s current IP, which may not actually be officially registered where you are given it’s a mobile device.
In short, it’s going to be a problem for your iPad to accurately geolocate given how you are using it, and I don’t know what or could do about that. You’re just hitting the scenario where WiFi iPad geolocation is the weakest.

@MyFave-212 I used both of my phones (Pixel 5 and Galaxy Flip 4) as hot spots last week, hooking up a fire tablet and a tv. I was never asked to verify a location. I'll be watching this for replies just in case!
