Will the provided phone number still work if I don't live in any of the cities provided the service in Canada?

yes, you can pick number from any city or province. But keep in mind , the tax will be based on the province of the phone number you chose (not where you live)

Hello @Semire
This is what I was told by a Telus and Public Mobile rep. You can have a phone number anywhere in Canada that you want except if there are deals meant for a particular area like Quebec. Those plans are just for them and need an address there. You are paying for the service, not the number if that makes sense.

PM service is available for most areas, but I'm certain there's areas without service. For example, from Crescent Valley to Slocan City in BC there's no service...locals are adamant they don't want cell service. I'm sure there's other areas. What areas are you planning to go that you'll need service ?
