A friend just converted his $28 Legacy plan to the new promo and is worried it was too easy!
Dial *611 >> on hold 5 minutes >> confirm phone number >> confirm PIN >> confirm activate on next renewal >> all done. Elapsed time 10 minutes.
Reminded him to confirm new plan is active day after scheduled renewal in case service is not interrupted but plan change failed.
No brainer for him - has never called support in 3 years, nor had autopay fail.

Oh wow. So this was a no-brainer then.
I've found PM to be seamless when all the data and information is correct.
