Leaving Country

I'm leaving the country for 5 days, will my phone plan and data plan work over in New York?
Im ok with my phone plan not working, as long as I have data. But if the data does not work, do I have to buy American version of my plan?

I think closng is correct.

You have to purchase the US roaming data add-on in order to use data on your phone in the US. 

There is also a US unlimited talk only add-on for $8 for 10 days. However, if you are calling any number in the US with certain area codes, it will not work as per Public Mobile.

"Unlimited Talk option required. Calls made to numbers starting with the following six digit combinations are not included in U.S. Roaming talk Add-Ons or U.S. calling from Canada and will not be completed when dialed: 712-432, 605-562, 641-552, 605-475, 605-477, 712-775, 559-726"

Your data will not work in New York, however, you can log into the self-serve portal and purchase a data only add-on, which allows you access to data for 10 days:

250MB for $10, 500MB for $15 and 1GB for $20 for 10 days.
