@111111 A transfer from Koodo to Public doesn't take 3 days unless the port was rejected and had to be re-attempted. It could take 3 days for a moderator to respond but porting from Koodo only takes a few minutes.

did you contact koodo and tell them you wanted to port ? sometimes they need to unlock it. if you did it should have been very quick like 2 mins and very max 2 hours as they are on the same.network. If it. didnt work call koodo and make sure they unlocked it and try again

In fact your koodo prepaid number does not get port in but simply transferred from your koodo prepaid account to your new pm account. Public mobile and koodo share the same backend system (cost saving measures from when telus bought pm.) This is why only moderators can facilitate this process. The task itself takes mere minutes so the time only depends on how busy the moderators are today. Generally its about 2 to 4 hours for moderators to respond to a higher priority request ( like yours) as long as they have all the necessary info.
Be sure to include in your request ( if by private message) the following:
Keep an eye on the envelope icon next to your avatar at the top right corner of your screen for a little number to pop up indicating a message from the moderators. Responding promptly to messages will speed up service times.
Edit: Koodo postpaid accounts do get ported in and can be done upon activation. In most cases if porting protection has been removed and the correct info supplied (name on account, account # and phone #) the port should take a couple of minutes as mentioned to a maximum of 2 hours.

Number porting is a 2 stage process:
Stage 1. After submitted your porting request, PM set up your old number on your PM account. Login to your account. Select the [Plan and Add-Ons] tab. Is your old number showing on the [Plan and Add-Ons] page?
If yes, PM has done its work to setup your old number for you to call out, send text and data.
If no, you should create a support ticket for moderator to investigate. Moderator wait time is from couple of hours to couple of days. https://publicmobile.ca.ada.support/chat/
Stage 2. Now, you are waiting for your old provider to release your number to PM. Not until your old provider release your number, all the incoming calls and texts will continue to go to your old provider. You can continue to use the old provider SIM card until it stops working which is the indication that your number was released to PM.
Since you are porting from Koodo, it will be very quick as it is handled by the same department from one brand to another brand. Just make sure that you provide correct info.

It takes a few hours. If you still need assistance then submit a ticket to a moderator.
To complete your port-in request, please open our chatbot via this link and type in “port request” to be put in touch with a Moderator.

Within a couple of hours. Since same company, usually quicker than that. You can continue to use your Koodo SIM card in the meantime. If it stops working, then put in your Public mobile SIM card.
