Hello,
I moved to a new province recently and would like to change my number to this new province but I would also like to keep my old number with a voip provider.
now the main question, I also want to keep my public mobile account because of the plan I am on which gives me discount for loyalty and autopay.
If I just change number through my account then I would lose my old number and if I port the old number out then I will lose my PM account benefits and will beed to sign up for a new account.
any way to keep both?
like if I can port my current number out to another provider (even to a new PM account) and have a new number assigned to my PM account?

Lets say attach new number to my current PM account and my current number to new PM account and then I can port my old number to voip.
@sonu_s No, that isn't an option. If it was you'd be able to accomplish what you're setting out to, but unfortunately it is not an option.

Unfortunately that is not possible. The only way to move your current number to a VOIP provider is to port out, which will close your account with PM. You can sign up with a new number, but it will also be a brand new account on the new Public Points system, and with the loss of any of your previous discounts. You'd also have to take a current in-market plan.

Changing number either picking a new one or porting to existing PM account will NOT remove your current rewards UNLESS You switch to points.
Porting out will delete your PM account.
You can port in your voip number and you will keep your PM account with current rewards but will lose your current PM number as voip will overwrite it. So at the end you will have your voip number on mobile device with PM service and all rewards will stay as is.
