Heh. March 31 - and we're the last to be phased out. Public's solution is to tell us to get a plan with Telus. I'm not sure how that works because don't they use the same network? We switched from Telus for a reason. This is not a solution.

Here's a link for you to read about the changes and how they might affect you. There's even a device checker at the end of the article so you can see if yours will work after the change. If it's not, you'll need to upgrade your cell to something a little newer to be able to talk....text and data will still work; just won't be able to talk reliably.

You can today, but that will change soon, depending on where you're located. For example...the province of Manitoba is phasing out their 3G right now. Parts of BC and other provinces are phasing it out also. I suspect the OP is in an area where Telus will phase out 3G rather soon, whereas you might be in an area that isn't that far along ...yet. You will need a newer cellphone eventually...just not certain when.

A phone with VoLTE support and specifically being on the Public Mobile VoLTE support list is required to make calls on 4G/LTE. When the 3G network shuts down, calls will have to be made with VoLTE. The message is telling you that you are still making calls on the 3G network and need to take action.

If your phone is not VoLTE compatible then it can’t make or receive calls.

LTE+ is only for data not calling and texting.

Here is more information on VoLTE:

Enter the IMEI of your phone to see if it is compatible.
