Just switched from Koodo, can't load my esim

I had reservations about coming over to Public Mobile because I heard that many people have issues and that tech support is a joke. Now I am one of those people.

I got an esim and have QR code in my email. Every time I scan, it fails and tells me to contact my provider. I sent customer support a message, but so far nothing.

Thank you. I have asked CS to escalate this to a supervisor or manager. I don't want to spend my Sunday driving into the city to ensure I have a working phone for tomorrow.

@Unkindly

I would escalate your ticket to a Supervisor. Since it was a Koodo phone.

So far customer service has been profoundly unhelpful. At least you're trying. They're telling me that because my phone wasn't purchased in Canada, loading an eSIM won't work. Thing is, it was purchased via Tab on Koodo.

Opps sorry, I had a brain freeze too cold in the west coast this morning.

Yes the iPhone is eSIM compatible!

I signed up for a 4G plan though. I don't have, nor want 5G.

@Unkindly

That is strange that you can get 5G on your iPhone SE 2020 2nd Gen because only the iPhone SE 2022 3rd Gen has 5G compatibility.
Only way to check if you go to Setting>Cellular Data Option>Voice & Data and it should give you the option for 5G Auto, 5G On, LTE and 3G.

If it doesn’t show the 5G option then your iPhone is not compatible.

@Unkindly

use this link to message a CSA..then watch the little envelop icon on top right side of page will be highlighted when they respond.

Iphone SE 2020. It said it was compatible and I have used esims when travelling in America before.
