No matter how many times I tried, when setting up account, it would NOT allow me to add my friend in the referal portion.
Please help!

@cappaj makes a good point. If you are trying to set up the referral AFTER you have already activated an account, then you need moderator help to add the referral number

Are you activating your account as you set it up? Or was it already activated in store? I don't know what the process is for creating your online account after activating in store, but I wonder if your time to input the referrer was in store, and not while setting up your self serve account.

This is the first time I heard of problems with adding a referral during activation. The biggest issues are with adding a credit card and porting. Using an up to date browser, clearing cache, incognito mode should help. @jeff1965, if your still have a bad referral, I would be more than willing to offer my number. Just kidding.

Are you saying that you cannot type the number in the box? If so, make sure you choose the option to the left that says "Yes, I was referred" or something like that.

it didnt matter if I used safari, Internet explorer, or chrome. It wouldnt allow me to set up the account inputting the refer phone # in

1. What browser are you using?
Chrome brawser works
2. If you are using Chrome, clear the cache and restart browser and start over again.

Enter your friend's Public Mobile 10 digit number with no spaces or dashes, just the numbers . It should work fine. Have not heard of this not working before.
