and has been over seven hours now still not able to receive or send msg, but call in and out has no problem, help please😣

Are you able to send text messages from your temporary Public Mobile number?
——I didn’t get a temp number from PM at all
Put your old Fido sim card back and you should see Fido card cannot make and receive calls, that would confirm the porting is done. —-- I am having eSIM with both Fido and PM once I had PM eSIM installed, the other one was deleted
——I am connected to PM network now, able to call and answer call, but not msg, porting was done yesterday noon, but I can still log into my Fido account this morning, feel like porting wasn’t successful?

if you can make calls and receive calls without problem, it is not a problem with porting. Put your old Fido sim card back and you should see Fido card cannot make and receive calls, that would confirm the porting is done
Your text problem is another issue. Try to Reset all networks on your phone. If it is an iPhone, check Carrier profile
If Android, clear the browser cache for the Messaging app
Try your PM sim card in another phone as well
