I had to ask this, as I feel this can be a weird and strange thing.

If one bought a handset, and All stuff was set correctly, APN, and all BUT MMS worked, meaning one can call and receive, SMS text and receive, use Data and all, BUT can't MMS YET still receive, what is the solution to this?

What can be the root cause of WHY One function not working?

Handset brand, software issues, network?

A PM client stated that his MMS was NOT working for outgoing, BUT he can do all the other functions.

That's very strange.

If APN was set to parameters, MMS should work.

If Handset was a foreign brand, like Leagoo, unlike HTC, Huawei, ZTE, LG, Samsung, Asus, Blackberry, Apple which are recognizable brands, can brands relatively unknown like Leagoo have some compatibility issues, or software issues? Just so that I can at least give ppl who have this kind of issue the correct info and better assist them

@makkahn28   brand should be the reason of the MMS issue directly, but indirectly it could

It is always the APN settings causing the issue, some brands of phone, it is more troublesome to edit and save the APN settings

What brand and model is your phone?

Share your current APN settings here and Compare your APN settings with this:

Anytime I've had an issue with my MMS it's been one of the following issues.

1. Typo in my access point name APN settings. The MMSC is usually the culprit.
Herea public mobiles correct settings.
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80

2. Mobile data is switched off. MMS uses mobile data and not wifi. So if it's turned off MMS content will not send.

3. Messenger has been restricted from using mobile data. There is a setting on most phones that can restrict data usage by application. Usually found in mobile data settings.

These are the first things I check and usually fixes my issue.

Hope that helps

MMS is the most problematic issue on any carrier. It can be anything, literally, from network to software on the phone.

Erase APN and re-enter (and yes even if all fields were correct this can solve the issue). Also note certain ROMs can have MULTIPLE APNs (need to configure each)

Reload software (factory reset at minimum, if you are able to reload the OS manually it is better)

Make sure no proprietary settings are disabled that prevents using MMS data & that user is not using any 3rd party apps

Enable roaming (not really an issue on Public, but other carriers)
