I’ve been a customer with various other Canadian prepaid providers, and well aware of the auto pay feature that most offer. Most of the providers will automatically turn on auto pay, but will give you the option to disable it.
I was wondering if Public Mobile offers this and if there is a way to disable it. I would prefer to not have recurring billing to my credit card.

OK, I now have a better understanding of how this plan works. Thank you very much for your assistance. Much appreciated!

Service stops working immediately if payment has been made on time. You have 90 days from the time of service suspension before the account gets closed.

Disabling autopay only disables automatically charging your credit card. If there is already enough balance in your Public Mobile account, your plan will still renew as usual. If there isn't enough balance in your account to pay for your plan and a payment isn't manually made enough to cover the price of the plan, service will stop working entirely. There are no pay per use provisions at Public Mobile. Your plan is either active or suspended.

Yes, you get 90 days to reactivate your plan if it expires before your account is fully closed and your number is lost.

You can always turn off your "subscription" which in practical terms means disabling auto pay. Your plan will then need to be paid manually.
