International texts not working

I am posting here hoping someone with an actual solution comes to my rescue.

My international texts used to work in 2021. Specially to Iran. They no longer do. Yes, I get a double tick aka delivered status on my texts but they are not actually delivered. My husband has the same plan as me and his texts actually go through. I know per getting confirmation from the recipients.

I would appreciate any help. Tnx

that did not work. the issue is still with my sim card 😞

That is good to know. However, the person I am talking to just said the SMS is delivered or I would not have been able to see it on my system, which I agree with you, I think they are in the wrong on this one and there is no way to know.

When a message has been sent as SMS, you won't know if it has been delivered, short of asking the person who you have sent it to. Customer support agents wouldn't have information of whether another carrier has delivered an SMS mesage to a device, but even if they could tell you this informaiton, they woudln't do that due to potential privacy concerns.

I just did. Previously my texts used to get a "delivered" status but not get delivered actually. And now they don't get a "delivered" status just "SMS". Just asked a CS agent to look into it fro

do you have Android phone? Clear app cache or reinstall Google Message

Yes, that setting is allowed and how my canada-wide msgs go through

Check your settings. Go to Settings>Apps>Messages>Permissions>SMS and see if Allow is selected.

I will try my SIM in his phone tonight. Yes, his texts do go through.

Try to swap SIMs to eliminate Your phone as an issue.
If your husband's SMS get delivered to Iran that will eliminate Iran blocking foreign SMS.

RCS or SMS (I'm on android). And yes, both same model of phone and got our sim cards the same day too

Are you sending by iMessage or RCS? Both of you using the same make and model of phone?
