How can i get international messages ? Currently im not getting them

@donyj - yeah, I think @computergeek541 nailed it.

In the settings of your iphone, ensure both SMS and MMS is enabled.

Also, ensure the person that is trying to reach you actually has this type of international service on their provider's plan.

SMS requires neither LTE nor a data connection.

Another option could be to start communicating with WhatsApp until the issue is solved

You call or text them first, then they can reply via text 

To call or Text india:   011 - 91 - 10 Digit Mobile Number

Or can they call you ?  they call you by:

00 + 1 + xxx xxx xxxx

If they can call you, ask them to use the same pattern to text

Either that or +1, im not 100%sure. Does that make any difference? I can alle them to use 001 instead of +1

Is it just one number from abroad you are having problems with or everyone abroad?

Thank you for the reply , yes im in Canada but still not receiving text messages from abroad , is there any customer care number i can call to do you know . I am receiving local messages no problem . Im using an apple phone how do i clear cache on i message ?

As long as you are located in Canada you should be able to text internationally (send/receive) with the current plans.

Try resetting your network settings, clearing the cache of your texting app.
