Incoming phone calls and Texts

I am unable to receive texts and phone calls on my Samsung Note8. This has been only happening since today. I am able to send texts and phone calls though. Please help!  Anyone else having issues today?

@gouthro2021 Data works fine with no issues.

 

Then it must be a Do not disturb or blocked comms issue.

 

check your phone specific call forwarding/do not disturb settings.

do you try manually selecting network "3G ONLY" or WCDMA only,

can you try your SIM card in another device to test your SIM card issue or device,

 

 if you can't fix it you have to Contact Customer Support Agent by CS_Agentand Explain your issue to

 @gouthro2021 : Do Not Disturb? Blocked anything? Contacts, all? Is this all callers and texts or just some?

Try to clean SIM contacts.

If you have another phone handy, try your SIM there.

If you can borrow SIM from your friend/family try it in your phone to eliminate hardware failure.

 

When somebody calls you, what do they hear? Does calls go to vmail?

Thank you for the quick response. Tested all of these options but no change. I am still unable to receive phone calls or texts 😞

@gouthro2021 are you able to access data ?

 

Re-seating of SIM after turning the phone off is the first thing I would try.

 

If everything worked before and it started happening today then there could be some network problem in the area. check other Telus/koodo/Public users if any.

you can try reseat the SIM card and Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,

1. power off your device

2. take out the SIM card,

3. waiting a 1 minute,

4. put it back and power on,

5. toggling airplane mode off/on,

 

and you can try to reset network settings and Changing APN Settings
