The same thing happened to me. I hsd to create a Public Mobile service ticket. Public Mobilet directed Virgin Mobile to Port (release my number to them). To get the authorizing text from Virgin Mobile I had to put my old Virgin SIM back in to receive the text message. As soon as you get a text from your old cellphone provider...... reply only with... Yes

Did you just port a number in from another carrier? It sounds like the port isn't complete yet. Did you respond "yes" to the text that was sent to your old sim to authorize the port?
