i don't have an old number this is my first.

@Salty_Ramrn

Call 1-855-4PUBLIC from another phone and check the status of the account.

If the system can’t locate the number the porting wasn’t complete.

Did you reply to the text from your old carrier with YES confirming you are porting over to PM? You have 90 minutes to reply or porting will not be completed.

If you missed to reply or the status of the account is fine then contact a CS_Agent to find the issue:

@Salty_Ramrn you will get to keep the phone number.  You use the PM app, login with the same email and password to her the esim

Well I was hoping I could keep this number

hi @Salty_Ramrn

can you check if your Public Mobile eSIM is enabled and set as Primary?

or since you are using eSIM , you can login PM app and go to Account, Purchase sim card page and choose eSIM to get a new eSIM, it should resolve the problem

Also this isn't a new issue I've just been using Whatsapp for a couple months.

It's  a new account and a brand new account, on a pixel 4. I've also never had a SIM card before (the SIM I have currently is a eSIM), would it matter that it's a parent protected phone?

hi @Salty_Ramrn

is that a new account?  what phone do you have?

if i it is a new account, make sure you removed the old carrier sim card or remove old sim card.  Then make sure PM sim is enabled, make sure the label is set as Primary

and check any network outage where you are

Try Reboot your phone and Reset network settings
